Bondings are a non-invasive cosmetic option that can address cosmetic concerns including chips, stains, gaps, and misshapen teeth. During treatment, tooth-colored dental resin is applied to your teeth, and then molded into a natural shape to improve the appearance of your smile and correct minor cosmetic flaws.

Anesthesia is not always necessary, but can be administered if the patient prefers. A combination of different composites will be used to create a harmony of shades, translucency and natural appearance, as teeth are a combination of many colors, shades and hues.

Bondings can last patients many years if properly cared for at home. Our doctors will go over homecare instructions at your appointment and may recommend a night guard to ensure you are not clenching on or grinding down the bondings.

Even patients who take great care of their teeth with healthy oral hygiene habits can develop cavities. When a cavity has damaged a tooth, a dental filling is often the best way to treat minor or moderate cases of tooth decay.

Progression of tooth decay can be halted completely by removing damaged tooth structure and filling the cavity with a composite resin material. If you’re like most patients, you may choose the white composite fillings or fillings that match your natural tooth color, instead of silver fillings because of their improved esthetics and lack of mercury.
